Service Description

Take your practice to the next level with Progress, a series of Masterclasses designed to help you build strength, resilience and intelligent movement patterns that support your yoga practice for years to come. While many Progress workshops focus on advanced asana, this session shifts the spotlight to something even more essential: mobility. Mobility is not the same as flexibility. It is your ability to actively control your range of motion — to move with strength, stability and awareness at your end ranges. Without it, we compensate. With it, we move better, feel stronger and reduce the risk of strain or injury. In this workshop you’ll explore: - Joint-focused mobility drills - Active range strength work - Shoulder and hip integrity - Core control and stability - Intelligent loading techniques - Practical tools you can integrate into your regular classes This is not about forcing deeper stretches. It’s about building usable range and long-term joint health. Who is it for? - Yogis who feel “stuck” in certain poses - Anyone wanting healthier shoulders or hips - Students working toward arm balances or inversions - Those returning from niggles or wanting to future-proof their body - Anyone who wants to move with more control and confidence You don’t need to be advanced. You don’t need to be flexible. You just need curiosity about how your body works. What you’ll gain - Greater joint stability and strength - Improved control at your end ranges - A deeper understanding of your body’s mechanics - Increased confidence in challenging transitions - Tools you can use immediately in your regular classes Delivered by Mike Williams, an experienced teacher known for his intelligent, strength-led approach to movement. While his personal practice includes advanced variations, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are — and build from there. Refreshments will be available after your class.
