Introspective and Stretchy Yin

This felt experience of quiet acceptance and introspection will be a soothing tonic that will calm your racing mind and elicit feelings of ease and balance. You will be guided through a series of long held passive yin postures that target the connective tissue of the body to increase your circulation, improving your flexibility and range of motion. Yin stimulates the flow of chi, the subtle energy within the body and balances the body’s internal organs and systems improving both physical and emotional wellbeing.

As you melt into stillness, as your awareness draws inwards and your breath is free, your bodies relaxation response will be activated and this powerful practice will bring about a deep sense of calm and peace within mind and body.  Relax, let go and surrender.

Chair Yoga - Gentle

This is a lovely gentle class where all poses are performed sat on or supported by a chair.

An accessible class to find ease where there is stiffness, stretch out those areas that are a little tight and build a little strength to support your mobility. With a little pranayama, some relaxation and meditation practice too, this is a class that is perfect if you find prolonged standing difficult or getting up and down off the floor is not possible but you would still like to enjoy the physical and mental benefits of a yoga practice.

Tai Chi - Shibashi Set 1 - Gentle

Gentle flowing Tai Chi to restore balance, calm the mind and cultivate inner energy.

We are delighted to welcome Tai Chi Shibashi Set 1 to our schedule. It is a gentle standing movement practice originating from China, created to support health, balance and relaxation.

The word Tai Chi comes from the Chinese concept Taiji, meaning “Supreme Ultimate” — the harmonious balance of opposing forces such as movement and stillness, effort and ease. Shibashi means “18 movements,” referring to the sequence of simple, flowing shapes practised in the class.

Shibashi blends the flowing quality of traditional Tai Chi with the simplicity of Qigong (energy cultivation). Movements are slow, continuous and repeated, coordinated with natural breathing.

This is why Tai Chi and Shibashi are often described as “meditation in movement.”
Rather than focusing the mind through stillness, awareness is gently anchored in the body, the breath and the smooth transitions between movements — helping to calm the nervous system while keeping the body softly active.

Benefits may include:
- improved balance and coordination
- increased joint mobility and ease of movement
- reduced stress and tension
- enhanced energy and circulation
- a calm, focused and grounded state of mind
- lowers blood pressure
- improves the immune system
- easy to learn

No experience is needed. Movements are gentle, symmetrical and easily adapted to suit your body.

The slower pace allows plenty of time to explore each posture with confidence, offering guidance, modifications and opportunities to move in a way that feels right for your body. Gentle strengthening is balanced with spacious stretches to improve mobility, flexibility and ease of movement, leaving you feeling lighter, calmer and quietly energised. Nourish is perfect for anyone looking for a slower, more mindful style of yoga that gently builds strength, improves flexibility and supports overall wellbeing without leaving you feeling depleted. Gentle stretches will then awaken your body and invite each muscle to unfurl before synchronizing movement with breath for a flow of ground based and standing poses that will energise and strengthen ensuring you move into your day with a foundation of ease and vitality.

As we conclude you will be invited to set an intention, planting a seed of positivity that will infuse the rest of your day.

After you’ve rolled up your mat, the effects of your morning ritual will ripple throughout your day so you can step forward with a sense of positivity, resilience and grace.
