FAQ

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN MAT TO CLASS? Mats are provided in the studio but you might prefer to bring your own. If you are attending a restorative yoga or sound event we may well have already laid our cotton padded mats down for you. The booking information will let you know if this is the case. All props are provided too, though of course if you prefer your own please feel free to use them. We do ask that you do not bring into the studio mats that have been used outside or on the beach. This is a shoe free studio and the cleanliness applies to mats too.

WHICH OF YOUR CLASSES IS BEST SUITED FOR ME? Please click the 'About' tab at the top and select from the drop down menu 'Which class is right for me' and all the information you need is there. But do get in touch if you have any questions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOGA STUDIO ETIQUETTE? - Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your class to allow for the previous class to exit and the room to be prepared for you. - The door may be locked just prior to the start of class but in any case, we do not accept late comers as this disrupts the other yogi’s practice. It's best to arrive on time to give yourself a few minutes to settle. - This is a shoe free studio so please take your shoes off on the mat when you come in and stow them in the shoe racks. This prevents other students getting their feet dirty or walking on stones as them go between studio, lockers and bathroom. - There are lockers provided for phones, keys and small bags. Whilst we do not insist that you leave phones outside of the studio, you might like the lack of distraction. We prefer you turn off phones, watches and other electronics or put them in silent mode to avoid distractions. - Bringing into the studio only your locker key and essentials keeps your mat area free of clutter. - Yoga teaches us about Saucha - cleanliness in mind, body and thought. Please avoid strong perfumes so that others can breath deeply without sensitivities. - Please let your teachers know of any injuries or health conditions or other issues that might affect your practice so that they can offer modifications and support. - Please park considerately and be mindful of our neighbours when leaving the studio. - Please be respectful to your fellow yogis and teachers and ensure your behaviour does not affect their enjoyment of the class in anyway. - Please wipe your mats down if you have used ours (wipes are provided in the tubs at the back of the room) and put away all the props in their right place. - Please do not bring into the studio mats and bags that have been used for an outdoor or beach practice. - If you need to leave early please let your teacher know so that you can be given time to leave without disturbing others savasana as this is an important part of the practice. - Listen to your body. Modify poses as needed – yoga is not a competitive sport.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY? - Class Block Booking cancellations can be made via the Fit by Wix app with up to 24 hours’ notice. - To cancel a single booking please contact me at least 24 hours in advance or you will not receive the refund. - Please do let us know if you are unable to make the class even if you are not giving 24 hours’ notice. - Special events / workshops cancellation: 100% refund if more than one week’s notice given, 50% refund in the event of 1 to 6 days’ notice given. HOW BIG IS THE STUDIO? The studio holds 12 people plus the teacher. This is to give you ample space around your mat to extend arms and legs as needed.

WHERE DO I PARK? There is ample free parking right outside as we are situated in the grounds of the Village Hall carpark. Please park considerately. Road side parking is available should the carpark be full. Please do not park infront of the path to the studio door as this is our neighbours drive way.
