Sacred Seasons - The Longest Night
A Winter Solstice Gathering: Pause, reflect & honour the stillness before the light returns
Service Description
The Longest Night - A Winter Solstice Gathering Sunday 20th December 7-9.30pm For one night each year, darkness reaches its deepest point. Yet the Winter Solstice is not a celebration of darkness, nor is it a rush towards the light. It is a quiet turning point. Although the days begin to lengthen once more, winter still lies ahead. Nature doesn't hurry. It rests. Perhaps we could learn to do the same. In a world that constantly encourages us to look ahead, achieve more and move faster, The Longest Night offers something different: permission to simply be where you are. Join us for a peaceful evening of gentle yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra and immersive sound as we honour the stillness of the season and pause at the turning of the year. Together we'll reflect on the journey of the year that's been, acknowledge all that has shaped us, and settle into the quiet wisdom that this season offers. There is nothing to fix. Nothing to strive for. Simply space to breathe, to rest and to remember that hope doesn't arrive only when the light returns, it already exists, quietly, even in the darkest night. Leave feeling grounded, peaceful and deeply rested, carrying with you the gentle reminder that you don't need to rush towards what comes next. The evening includes: WELCOME TEA & ORACLE CARDS WINTER SOLSTICE MEDITATION CANDLELIT GENTLE YOGA YOGA NIDRA SOUND JOURNEY SPICED CACAO & FESTIVE TREATS Be still in this moment. Trust the turning.
