Service Description
Sunday 15th November : 6.30 - 9pm When was the last time you gave yourself permission to do absolutely nothing? No rushing, no demands, nowhere else you need to be. Just a few precious hours to slow down, soften and be looked after. Relaxing into Sound is an evening dedicated entirely to rest. A gentle journey through restorative yoga, yoga nidra and the beautiful, immersive sounds of crystal singing bowls and gongs. We begin with Restorative Yoga. Unlike more familiar styles of yoga, restorative yoga asks very little of you. Supported by bolsters and blankets, we rest in comfortable positions, allowing muscles to release their tension, breathing to slow and the nervous system an opportunity to settle. No effort, no striving and absolutely nothing to achieve. From here, we move into Yoga Nidra. Sometimes called yogic sleep, this guided meditation invites you into a deeply restful state somewhere between waking and sleeping. Simply lie back, listen and allow yourself to drift. And then, we surrender to sound. Wrapped in blankets, resting on padded mats, you will be immersed in the rich, resonant sounds of gongs and crystal singing bowls. Sometimes delicate and almost whispered, sometimes deep and powerful, the sounds and vibrations fill the room, inviting the busy mind to quieten and the body to rest. Every experience is different. Some find it deeply calming, others emotional or reflective. There is no right way to feel. And because there is no need to rush back into the world, we finish slowly with warming drinks, cake and time to linger or chat with friends before heading home. Two and a half hours where nothing is expected of you. Just come as you are. We will take care of the rest. BEFORE BOOKING Sound bath considerations: Sound experiences may not be suitable or comfortable for everyone.
