Service Description

Menopause Yoga, developed by Petra Coveney, is a holistic approach designed to help manage menopausal symptoms through a combination of specially adapted yoga poses, breathing exercises, and mindful meditation. This practice incorporates evidence-based medicine, nutrition, complementary therapies, natural remedies, and wellbeing guidance, offering a comprehensive toolkit of techniques that women can incorporate into their daily lives to enhance physical and mental health. Menopause Yoga workshops offer a supportive and empowering environment for women to navigate the challenges of menopause and can be a valuable resource in managing symptoms and promoting overall wellness. We will look at the common symptoms and emotions that arise and their causes, traditional and Ayurvedic intervention and management, herbal prescribing and contraindications, journalling as well as Yoga practices (pranayama, hatha, yin and restorative) within a confidential and supportive Women’s Circle. Yummy refreshments will be served during this 3-hour workshop. This first workshop will take an overview before a deeper dive into managing hot flushes. Future workshops will look at menorage and irritability, anxiety and overwhelm and strength and empowerment. These are all stand alone events with no need to take them in turn. Do bring along a journal and pen and a bottle of water. Everything else will be provided for you. This workshop is hosted by Molly Crowther, from Meadowside Yoga. She is a qualified yoga teacher, Ayurvedic clinician and Reflexologist.

Cancellation Policy

Please arrive around ten minutes before your class is due to start. Access will not be possible until 15 minutes before the class start time in order to allow the previous class time to vacate the studio. We do not allow late access to class as the outside door will be closed to entry just before the class starts to protect peoples belongings in the reception area. Refunds will not be given if you are late and unable to attend the class. Block Booking cancellations can be made via the app with up to 24 hours notice. To cancel a single booking please contact me at least 24 hours in advance or you will not recieve the refund. I'm afraid refunds cannot be guaranteed if 24 hours notice is not given. Please park considerately and be mindful of our neighbours when leaving the studio. Please be respectful to your fellow yogis and teachers and ensure your behaviour does not affect their enjoyment of the class in anyway. This is a strict no shoes studio so please leave your shoes in the storage boxes inside the front door. Small lockers are provided for your valuables. But you might like to leave your bags in your car. We recommend bringing into the studio only what you need for class in order to keep space between the mats nice and clear. Please bring your own mat if you have one, though we do have spares. All props will be provided but you might like to bring your own blanket for savasana. Special events / workshops cancellation: 100% refund if more than one weeks notice given, 50% refund in the event of 1 to 7 days notice given. No refunds issued in the event of cancellation within 24 hours of the event
